Wedding pictures from my Uncle Don - thank you so much for them - are now up in the photo gallery. No tags for anything yet, but we’ve got pictures up now, so it’s a start.

Also, you can look at the professional photographers pictures (and order them too) at expophotousa.com. When you get there, on the right hand side click event photos and then weddings and then you’ll see our name there. Do note that you may have to scroll left and right to see the menu because whatever dumb dick designed the site, put the navigation on the right, which is a HUGE web design no no, but whatever. They also use frames, so I mean seriously. Come on. So if you want to get the direct link to the pictures it’s located here. I hate stupid design. Whatever. So there ya go!

Ok, so I’m in the process of scanning in the pictures that we have - all of which were taken by my Uncle Phil {Thank you so much for that. We really appreciate it} - and I realized that I bet a bit of family and friends might have some images so I’ve setup an ftp account on my server here and so that if people want to upload images they can and then I’ll move them here and share them on the site. Make sure when you’re putting pictures up to put them in the upload directory and make a directory with your name on it and fill that up with your pictures. I’m not going to put the login information into cyberspace, because that’s just idiotic, but if you’re interested email me at john-and-jenn[@]comcast[dot]net with the subject: wedding ftp and I’ll respond with the login information. And do identify yourself for me, so that I’m not giving it out to some random person. I’m a bit paranoid about my computers, is all. So thanks and once all our images are up they’ll be up here for everyone to see! Now get to uploadin’!

Alright, so I’ve had a few requests and questions about pictures, so here’s a quick little note to everyone:

I will be putting up pictures over the next week. I will also be setting up an ftp account for family to upload images too. After I pull down the pictures everyone uploads, I’ll resize and put them up there and I will tag them with a note about who submitted the image. All family pictures will also have an album dedicated to those pictures alone. If you are interested, please email us at john-and-jenn [at] comcast[dot]net (← stupid spammers make me do that.)

We got our marriage license yesterday, which was very exciting! Not really much else to say about that, other than that we’re really excited! It’s getting close to that time! =)

Hey Hey Hey!!! So in a matter of days, I’ve gone through this entire site and added an amazing amount of functionality, including improved RSS tracking, improved photo gallery, paged comments (although comments aren’t available on anything), and NOW… a guestbook for everyone to leave us comments! It’s much like the leave-a-note feature I was developing, but it’s much more robust. Just so you know, comments are moderated, so they do have to be approved before they go up, but they will go up (as long as they’re appropriate) within the hour. So, enjoy the new features and look for some new things going on on here and on my site. I’m finally doing web design for fun.

Oh yeah! By the way, things are finally looking up for me (John). I’ve had 2 interviews with a very exciting company and I’m hoping that I hear something soon. I’ll finally be able to get out of the dismal hole I’ve been in and move away from the redundancy and idiocy of web design. I enjoy it, but there’s too much garbage out there to deal with. So hopefully soon it’ll be a side job instead of a full time thing and I’ll be able to move onto something a lot more exciting. So everyone keep us in your thoughts and prayers and hopefully something good will come of all this. It’s a really sweet position at a data center in Chicago and I’m really hopeful for it. So… Yup!

The photo gallery will be down for the next few days while I make improvements to it that are long overdue. Thanks for your patience and we’ll have pictures from the shower up when it goes back live. =)

We want to thank everyone who came out for our shower yesterday (Sat. 9th). We got a lot of REALLY nice things that we really wanted and we are so blessed to have friends and family like you. You all really made our day special and we really couldn’t begin to thank all of you enough. And to all of those who could not be with us, we appreciate any sentiments {and gifts=)} that you sent our way. We were bummed you couldn’t be there, but we understand that we are not as important as other things. Just kidding. We understand. So thank you all as well. We could continue this monologue telling all of you how much we love you all and how magnificent you all are, but we shall cut it short here. So again. Thank you all. Especially the Mothers and Grandmothers who setup everything and fed everyone. =)

Well, I’ve experienced some delays in getting around to the photo gallery section, but it should be completed within the next week, so for all those people who keep looking at it and hating it… I know. It’s getting fixed. =)

So we’ve got some photos up now. Unfortunately, there are some bugs with the plugin I’m using, so I’ll be re-writing it over the next few days. It’s nice that it uses flickr to pull my photos over, so I’m going to try to base it off this plugin. The flickr api is nice, but now I’m getting too nerdy for most people that will be reading this so take it for what it’s worth. Basically, we’ve got some pictures, there’ll be a better look for it soon, and please bear with the bugs I’ve got. Cheers!
